Application Delete Guide

Plain-language explanation of delete, restore, and permanent delete.

What happens when you delete an application

Deleting an application moves it out of the normal application list and into a safe deleted state. It is not removed from the system right away.

What "Delete" means
  • Soft delete: the application is hidden from the regular view.
  • Recoverable: you can restore the application if it was deleted by mistake.
  • Not permanent yet: the record still exists until the application is permanently deleted.
What gets restored with the application

When a deleted application is restored, the system also restores the related application items below:

  • Selected course items
  • Additional application fees
  • Offer letters
  • Document requests
  • Certificate of Enrolment (CoE) records
  • Payments associated with the application
What happens when you permanently delete an application

Permanent delete removes the application and the related items listed above from the system forever. This cannot be undone.

What is not deleted

The following are not removed automatically when an application is deleted:

  • Student or agent user accounts
  • System messages or chat threads
  • Any documents outside the normal application delete flow
  • Guest application personal details kept separately
When to use each action
  • Delete: use when the application should be cleared from active work but may need recovery later.
  • Restore: use when the application was removed accidentally or must be processed again.
  • Permanent delete: use only when you are sure the application should be removed forever.
Note: deleting an application does not delete the student or agent account itself, only the application and its related application data.
